There are 10,000 telegraph lines in Britain, over 1,200 terminating m the Central Telegraph Office, London. France is now raising money by printing advertisements on telegraph forms and on the borders round the stamps. A Cheshnnt, Hertfordshire*, nursery sends 100 tons of cucumbers to Covent Garden each week.
