It is expected a Ministerial announcement shortly will be made that the Government has decided temporarily to suspend the erection of a superpower wireless station at Klipheuvel to give the "Wireless Company of South Africa an opportunity of demonstrating the effectiveness of the new directional heam system. If the trials are satisfactory, the station now being erected, which was to have been the largest in the world, • with 750 kilowatts, will be wholly or partly su_perseded by a 25-kilowatt station, which will work at a higher speed and with greater secrecy.
