During a discussion at the Commercial Travellers’ Conference on organising the travellers on trade union lines, Mr Coysh, the British secretary, said such a step would be disastrous and utterly impracticable, and would establish an impassable barrier between employers and travellers. Mr Derose said the Australian Association would oppose a union, which would be objectionable to the average traveller.
