Public highways in No. 15 district are gazetted as follows: Sheffield-Arundel road, via Upper Rakaia Gorge bridge.—All that portion of the Sheffield - Arundel road via Upper Rakaia Gorge bridge, commencing as> the southern end of the Upper ;Rakaia Gorge bridge and proceeding :thence generally in a south-westerly .direction, via Springburn and Mayfield, -and terminating at its junction with the Christehurch-Dunedm road near the Rangitata River bridge at Arundel, passing through the county of A-shburton, a distance 0f..39£ miles, jnore or less.
Methveii to its junction with the Sheffield-Arundel road, via. Upper Eakaia (4orge bridge.—All that road known as the Methven, to its junction with the Sheffield-Aran del road, via Unper Rakaia Gorge bridge, commencing at the Post Office, Methven, and proceeding thence generally in_ a northerly direction terminating its junction" with the said Sheffield-Arun-del road, via Upper Rakaia Gorgebridge, passing through the county of Ashbur&on, a distance of seven miles, more or less. Rakaia-Methven road.—Ah that roadknown as the Rakaia-Methven road, commencing at its junction with the Christchurch-Dunediii road at Rakaia and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly and south-westerly direction via the River road and terminating at the Post Office, Methven, passing through the county of Ashfcurton, a distance of 21£ miles, more or less. , '.'., , Tinwald-Longbeach road.—All tnat portion of the Tinwald-Longbeach roau, -commencing at its junction with the Christchureh-Dunedin road between Wihslow and Tinwald and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction, via Willowby road, and terminating at the Post Office, Longbeach, passing through the county of Ashburton,, a distance of 10 miles, more or less.
