RIOT IN JAMAICA
POLICE FIRE ON CROWD. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) KINGSTON (Jamaica). June 9. A strike of municipal labourers for an increase in pay developed into a riot, in which Corporation property was destroyed. The mob attacked the ' police and reinforcements arrived. Finally the police were compelled to fire on the rioters, killing two and wounding several.
The military were' called out, and the rioters dispersed.
