TINWALD STOCK SALE. PRINCIPAL SALES YESTERDAY. There was a very large attendance at the Tinwald yards yesterday, and the sale, taken all through, was a record one for the season both in respect to keenness in bidding and the prices obtained for the big bulk of the lots offered. There was an all-round advance of from 2s 6d to 3s, and buyers were operating freely. There was also a keen demand for: local supplies. The entry comprised 1614 fat ewes, 106 fat wethers, 2920 lambs and about 2500 stores. There were a few unfinished lines in

the fat ewe pens, but the big majority were very prime. Prime sorts made 26s lid to 29s lOd, Mr James Hampton, of Tinwald', obtaining the latter figure for a pen of 13 and 2S's 8d for a pen of 12. Second quality made 24s Id to 25s 7d, and unfinished lots 18s 3d to 22s 2d. Wethers made from 29s to 36s lOd. Prime lambs realised 31s 3d to 36s lid and second quality 25s 3d to 29s lid. 'The over-all price was fully 10|d per lb, and in some instances lid per lb Avas realised. The principal sales were:— Fat Ewes—For G.
