FIRES.
FIRE AT BLENHEIM.
(Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, July 23
A large dwelling house, occupied by Mrs A. M. Miehalanney was the scene of an outbreak of fire. Three adults and three children made a hurried exit. Four rooms were gutted. The furniture is a total loss. Insurances amount to £9OO.
TOWN HALL DESTROYED.
WHANG ARE I, July 23
Kamo Town Hall, which housed the Town Board archives, Public Library, picture show and plant, was totally destroyed by fire late last night. No water supply was available. The library books and most of the Town Board documents were rescued. The hall was insured for £SOO, the picture plant for £3OO and the library for £2OO. The origin has not been determined, but is possibly due to the fusing of the electric wires.
