The airships employed in the services to India and Australia will be huge machines of a new pattern capable of carrying 150 passengers at an average speed of 80 miles an hour. They will be able to make a continuous flight of more than five days. The first should be built within eight months. . The first stage will be to India, bringing it within 68 hours of London and shortening the delivery of Australian mails by ten days. Egypt will be reached in thirty-one hours. The machines will have a capacity ol five million cubic feet, a length of 760 feet, and single-berth sleeping cabins for all passengers, each with a separate entrance from the keel gangway. The saloon will accommodate sixty persons and the dining-room halt the complement.
