THE WEATHER.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST. The following forecast was issued:— The indications are for freshening winds, northerly strong to gale, and backing by west to north. The weather will probably prove squally and changeable. Barometen unsteady, hut falling, for a storm appears to be approaching from the west.
Following a clean still night, this morning broke with a hard frost. The frost register at the Domain station showed 8 degrees of frost, but the lowest temperature in the night recorded by the thermometer was 28 degrees. Yesterday’s highest temperature was 51, and this morning’s barometer reading was 29.63.
