The late Lord Kinnaird held the position of Lord High Commissioner for Scotland from 1907 to 1910, and was created a Knight of the Order of the Thistle in June, 1914. He was director of Barclay’s Bank, and up to the time of his death was keenly, interested in international football, in which contests he often participated. He had kindly philanthropic. leanings, and was unfortunate in losing two of his sons durihst the Great War.
