FINANCIAL MISSION.

TO THE UNITED STATES, j (Per Press Association, Copyright.) / J LONDON, December 12. The British Financial Mission to the United States, comprising Mr Stanley Baldwin (Chancellor of the Exchequer), Governor of the Bank of England, and Mr Rowe Dutton (Treasury Adviser), will leave on December 27.

The Financial Mission is going to the United States to discuss the question of the refunding of the British debt, and the international debts in general. Last year Britain owed the United States £967,000,000. A sum of £1.787,000,000 was owing to Britain by. the Allies, and £155,000,000 bv the dominions. Tile total national debt or Great Britain on March 31', was £7,634,000,000, of which £T,162,000, 600 was owing to other countries. The annual charges on the total debt amounted to £349,600.000. At the comrrericement of the European War the debt was £708,000,000, and the jinnual charges amounted to £24,500,000.
