The official recount in connection with the licensing poll will commence immediately. The parliamentary writ was returnable to-day.

It is interesting to note that on a larger poll the majority for Mr Nosworthy was only 11 below that of the 1919 election. The number of valid votes cost in 1919 was 6909, the majority by which Mr Nosworthy was returned . being 1493. This year the valid votes totalled 7102, and the majority was 1482.
