Tobacco-growing; m Canada has made remarkable nrogress during tho Inst few years, according to a statement published by the Department of Agriculture. A staple tobacco used for a' 1 purposes, to the total of 20,000,000 pounds, was produced m 1920, ps against only 4,000,000 pounds m 1916. Some 20,000 acres were planted m tobacco last year.
