STATEMENT BY PRIME MINISTER LONDON, October 27. In the House of Commons Mr Lloyd jGreqrge Baid it was untrue that Britain had practically -agreed to' all Egypt's, requests. No change would be made m the relations of Britain and Egypt without Parliamentary discussion. The five Labour members of the House of Commons who visited Egypt, report m favour of recognition of the complete independence of ' Egypt , and formation of a Treaty of Alliance between Egypt and Great Britain, which , must be approved by a popularly-elect-ed Egyptian Assembly, Britain should advise the Egyptian Government that the election should be held immediately, and negotiations, resumed with a new delegation after the election.
