DUNEDIN SENSATION.
PROMINENT CITIZEN ARRESTED
(Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Axfgust 11. A sensation^ was created in the city this afternoon when it became known that Matthew Bradley, a well-known figure in civic circles, had been arrested on a charge of unlawful intercourse with a girl 14 years of age. The accused, who is 52 years of age, conducts a bootmaking business in the city, and came into special prominence during the war period owing to the active part he took in connection' with recruiting. 1 He is a Justice of the Peace, and a member of the Dunedin City Council, and at present chairman of the Gas Committee. Bradley was brought before, the Magistrate's Court and remanded till the 20th inst., on bail. ;...'■
