CLAUSEN SENTENCED.

The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court were resumed yesterday, before iiis Honour Mr Justice Herdman. William Nicolai Clfusen, charged' with being an incorrigible rogue within the moaning of the Police Oifences Act, in escaping from Paparua prison 1 and in breaking, entering and theft, to which he had pleaded gnil'ty, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment with hard labour, to be commenced at the conch.son of a five years' .sentence he is at present serving for theft. This closed the criminal sessions.
