FEDERAL BUDGET.

MELBOURNE, July 9. In the House of Representatives, Mr Watt tabled the Financial Statement for the year 1918-19, showing expenditure £48,567,005, approximate receipts £44,641,185, and an actual deficiency of £332,774. The figures do not include war expenditure from loans.

In the House of Representatives, Mr Watt, in his financial statement, said that in addition to the amount paid from revenue for war. services £62,----467,776 had been paid from loans. The total cost of the war for the year amounted to £83,533,271.
