Perfect- weather favoured the opening oi: the Wellington Racing Club's winter -meeting. Owing to absence of train facilities the attendance was considerably affected. Tlie totalisator handled £3*5,172 compared with £42,----306. Concluding results :-v-
Winter Hurdles.— Omahu 1, Seadown 2, Paraoa 3. Two lengths between tho placed horses. Time 3min. 45 3-osees.
Parliamentary Handicap—Battle Array 1, Gold Kip 2, All Over 3. Won Oy" two lengths. Time 2.123-ssec.
Te Aro Handicap.—Danty Step 1, Imaribbon 2, Kyoto 3. Won by a head, third horse a neck away. Time 1.16 1-osec.
