SIR JOSEPH WARD INTERVIEWED

(Received July 9, 2.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 5. Sir Joseph Ward, when interviewed, said that New Zealand was satisfied with the terms of the Peace Treaty. They are chiefly interested in the preservation of Samoans, and regarded the arrangement as satisfactory whereby the Island will be under the associated administration of Britain and the United States. The ex-Kaiser will be tried and probably exiled.
