BOARDING HOUSE BLAZE.
TAUMARUNUI, July 7. Beaumont's two-storey boardinghouse at Owhango was destroyed by lire at three o'clock yesterday morning. The inmates had a narrow escape, getting out in' their nightelothes.' Some of 'them jumped from a balcony. A woman and two children just escaped ■with their Jives. The buildings was insured for £1000, but the furniture-was not insured. Nothing was saved. The lire started in the kitchen.
