WILLOWBY CIRCUIT.
The quarterly meeting of the Willowby Circuit church officials was held at the Parsonage on Thursday evening. The Rev. S Bailey presided over a fair attendance of members. ' Mr G. Chapman presented the report of the Circuit Leaders; meeting, showing a ciniuit membership ot 14U seniors and 21 juniors. The report was, after discussion, adopted, and the recommendation regarding candidates for junior membership approved. The financial statement as presented, by the steward revealed, as the result of an increased expenditure during the quarter, a sligit debit balance; but a draft on the ieserve fund enabled a small credit bflance to be carried forward. On the|motion of the stewards, the balance-shfct was adopted. 1 Correspondent from the president of the Conference re " Young Peoples Agent" was received, and it was decided to approve of the suggestions ' and comply wilh the request for financial Biipport. | ' Special colletions were voted to the Willowby and (jowcliffe Church Trusts, and that the date for the Foreign Mission deputation be accepted. It was also resoved that an auxiliary circuit Foreigi and Home Mission Executive be €pcted, to consist of one society steward from each church, and Messrs W. T.Lill, W. Harding D. 'Hickman, W. ti Lull, and B. Lill to be convenor. i . . The Rev. T. G. Brooke, Dominion Homo Mission! Secretary, wrote re Home Mission work, .and it was resolved that his Jecommendations be. referred to the Cicuit Mission Executive for favourable consideration. Sunday school and young peoples societies were r<*>orted to be in a satisfactory conditiol. _ j It was decidd to hold a 6 o'clock I prayer meeting 4 the Willowby Church every Sunday owning, to finish in time for the ordinarjservice; and that the evening service! at Hinds be discontinued, but tht a'service be held 1 ovorv Sunday n'ternoon. Letters of Wcomo were ordered to be sent to tbie returned soldiers who were member;' of the quarterly meeting; also one if condolence to Miss Ida Chapman syniathising with her in her severe and' fotrncted illness. The prononcmg of the Benediction closed the nieting. after which tho members we-2 hospitably entertained at simper bj Mrs Bailey, who was heartily thaied therefor.
