R. 346 ACHIEVEMENT.
NEW YORK, July 6. A Boston message reports that R-34 is in distress and asks for the assistance of a warship. A later message says that R34 was merely running short of fuel and asked for the assistance of a warship in case the head wind did not moderate. Her present position ia over the Bay of Fundy. Two destroyers have been dispatched. NEW YORK, July 6. It is reported that R34 is proceeding under her own power to Chatham. The dirigible is being followed by the United States destroyer Bancroft.
