OBITUARY.

MRS E. ROBINS.

The death occurred last evening at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr J. Dickson, at Christchurch; 'of Mrs Elizabeth Robins,' a very • old New Zealand settler: The late Mrsi Robins, whose maiden name was O'Neill, first arrived in New Zealand from Australia in the early seventies. ■ In Lawrence she was married to the late Mr W..H. Robins, then a well-known contractor, and with him went to Gore. The late Mr Robins passed away in 1881, leading his wife n?ith nine children, eight of whom are still alive. The late Mrs Robins, with her husband, settled in Gore first of ah/when it was still under the name of Longford, -md she resided in that district for practically the whole of the remainder of her life, only one previous resident of Gp're having outlived her in years of residence. The late Mrs Robin w ras of a most lovable character, and ,tho absolute accord in which she lived with her family is proof of the love and respect in which they all held her. while she was highly esteemed by a very large circle of friends. In view of her many years of association with Gore, the remains of tlie late Mrs Robins aro to be interred there. She is survived by a family of eight, including W. 11. and C- Robins (Canterbury Hotel, Mcthvcn).
