METHVEN STOCK SALE.
Tho ordinary fortnightly sale was held at Methven yesterday. The yarding was fair, but the attendance of farmers was small on account of tho Ashburton trotting meeting. The following were the principal sales : — Fat Sheep—Wethers: Ono at 295, 9 at 33s 7d, 17 at 35s sd. Ewes: 26 at 24s 9d, 45 at 26s 3d, 37 at 265, 30 at 24s 2d, 45 at 21s 9d. Lambs: 77 at 24s 6d. 40 at 26s Id, 84 at 27 2d, 19 nt''23.s, 41 at 27s 9d, 54 at 22s 3d, 54 at 25s 2d, 36 at 24s 4d, 120 at 26s Id, 304 at 26s 6d, 69 at 26s 3d.
