The position of the local grain markethas not altered materially since our last report, with tho exception of oats, which are again ea&ier, the merchants who were buying to cover immediate requirements having evidently obtained sufficient for present needs. The* dry weather is enabling cartinc to be proceeded with without interruption, but railway trucks are still scarce and causing a lot of delay and trouble. Wheat.—-Brokers report that they are getting away odd lines showing special duality, but there is still a large quantity of Tnwan. which'is difficult to place. Wheat below good milling is worth about 6s f.o.b. as whole fowlwheat.

Oats.-— ; The market is erratic, and it is difficult to quote actual values, as buyers 7 ideas vary' to t!ie extent r of several pence per busbel; but only merciiants who have to provide for contracts are prepared to purchase at extreme rates, " General values 'may be ciuoted at 3,s'4d to 3s 5d for B Gartbns, 3s 6d to 3s • 7tt for A, and '3s 8d -to 3s 9d for heavy milling.
