ACCIDENT TO SOLDIER.
WELLINGTON, April Hu. While the Taintri was at Colon, Panama, a serious accident, befell 22034 Private, H. J. Irvine. During a journey on the Cristobel railway, Irvine had the misfortune to fall from the train, and received serious injuries to his leg. He was removed to hospital, where, upon examination, it was found necessary to amputate the limb. Private Irvine was left at Cristobel, where he is reported to be-making a good recovery.
