The Labour 'Council carried a motion recommending the workers of the Commonwealth to take steps to secure ■shorter working days. It further resolved that the time is opportune for. the entire abolition of armaments and ■■conscription, and also, carried a motion repudiating all desiro to extend the dependencies of the•.■Commonwealth by annexation s of the captured German colonies.
