"BERLIN" TO "PERSHING."

The following letter is being sent to the mayor or burgess of every town of Berlin in the United States by the Pennsylvania. City Editors' Association:—

"There is only one Pershing and we wish we had more; there are a great many Berlins and each is one too many. It is respectfully suggested that your community begin the new year with a new name—Pershing. Will you do it?" H. ft. Kroh, president of the Pennsylvania organisation, said the "hunch" came when he read that a village in central Illinois had taken the name of Pershing. "That there should be some 25 or more 'Berlins' and only one 'Pershing' seemed to us something that called lor ii. quick and ready remedy, hence the suggestion."
