TENNIS.
ASHBURTON CLUB
The Ashburton Lawn Tennis Club's season was opened yesterday. Tliere was a good attendance of members and friends. Mr T. Bullock (president of the club), in declaring the courts open, mentioned that the club.had 70 members at the front or in camp. He said he was a strong believer in keeping sport going while the war was on, as it helped to cheer people ,up. Several. interesting ganies. wore played, and afternoon tea was provided by the lady members.
