AUCKLAND, July 24

A Union Company's cargo steamer, which left Auckland last Tuesday, arrived off Cape Maria van Diemen under sail, this morning, and reported that her engines had broken down. Another Union steamer was signalled, and she took the disabled vessel in tow.
