About a week ai^ the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr H. Holland) wrote to the" Prime Minister (Mr Massey) asking what arrangements wore proposed in connection with the celebration ot the declaration of war on , August 4. Mr Massey has replied that it is intended to hold demonstrations similar to those held last year.;. A circular letter is to be senfc out shortly giving the text of the motion to be submitted to those attending the demonstration. .
