ON THE HIGH SEAS. IN THE BALTIC.
REPORTED NAVAL ACTION

It is reported that a naval enffagoment took place in the Baltic on Wednesday nijxht. The indications k are that the Germans were repulsed. COPENHAGEN, July-21. A violent cannonading: between Landsort and Gottska Sandoe "was heard on Wednesday night. A large German torpedo-destroyer was seisn next morning steaming rapidly to the southward. Ib is supposed that the Russians were pin-suing the Germans, as firing was still aklible in a more southerly direction. Firing' was also heard near Sundsvall.
Landsort is a lighthouse on, the Swedish const, 50 miles south of Stockholm. Gottska Sandoe is a small island, 50 miles east by south of Landsorb and 20 . miles north of Gothland
Sundsvall is a, timber port in Swollen on the shore of lite Gulf oi" Bothnia.
