(Received June 1, 10.30 ■ a.m.) SHANGHAI,, May 31. Eight provinces including Hunan, and Syechuau, have proclaimed their independence. Shantung is in tho hands of the rebels. There are indications that Yuan Shi Kai will be comijelled to abdicate.
