JACK JOHNSON V. JESS WILLARD.
There was a large attendance, last evening at His Majesty's Theatre, which was leased to the Wellington Amusements Company for the screening of the films depicting the WillardJohnson fight for the world's championship. The pictures of the fight were beautifully clear throughout and gave the spectators a good idea of how the victory went to Willard. Johnson, judging by the films, did most of the fighting for 20 rounds, and he was seen forcing the pace before he became visibly tired. Willard was going strong in the latter stages of the fight and his knock-out blow was clearly depicted. Films were also screened showing both men in training in preparation for the fight, also views of Willard's reception at railway stations on his return home. The programme concluded by the presentation of pictures of past ring champions.
