(Received May 31, 1.50 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 3Q. . As Mr Roosevelt was motoring to, delirer a speech in Kansas City favouring army and naval preparedness, a knife whizzed past him. Apparently it kad booa flung by an.onlooker in the 'crowds The knife struck the roar of tho motor-car, and was found in the street' afterwards. ; Mr Roosevelt was unaware of the incident.
