MARTIAL LAW STILL IN FORCE.
(Received May 31, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, May 30. In the House of Commons, Mr Asquith stated .that martial law was i continuing in Ireland as a precaution. Ho hoped its disappearance would be I speedy and complete, and that it would be resorted to only in desperate cases.
