JOSEPH FORD'S 1 SCOUR AND LUNG-WORM MIXTURE. North Bank, Rakaia, ■ : ■■■■■: Sept. 25/1912. Mr F. Fcrriman, Ashburton. Dear Sir, —In March last I drenched about 5000 lambs, which were dying of Lung Worm, and I found the lambs improved wonderfully and I did riot lose any after drenching. In August List I bought 100 ewe hoggets, which wore very low in condition, and they wore very bad with Lung Worm. I drenchod thorn one doso, and it stopped nil coughing and they are doing splendidly.. \ I have oarrioc] lambs home expecting thorn to die, and have given them a dose of Lung Worm Mixture for experiment and they have been walking about in the morning. I have great faith in Ford's Mixture, and recommend it.to all shcepbreeders. Yours faithfully, (S"d.) JOHN SOWDEN, Jun. 1 GALLON. 19s PER GALLON. 2 GALLONS.-17s PER GALLON. Copy of Circular Letter issued in | Canterbury. ; " ! RE DAGGING. THE FREEZING COMPANIES regret having to draw attention to the condition in which many lines of sheep and lambs are sent to Saleyards and Freezing Works, owing to the growers having neglected to have same properly dagged or crutched. | The matter is^S a serious one, as it not only affects 'the animal in a live state, but also prevents the carcases from being dressed with the finish and cleanliness which are an absolute necessity for placing them on the Home market to the best advantage. In spite of every care, stains are bound to disfigure such carcases, and no amount of wijjing down,.will remedy this condition as they cannot avoid, in many cases, injuring the pelts and so incurring fines. j In view, of the reasonable remon- , ' strances of the slaughtermen againsl > boing compelled to kill daggy sheep and lambs, and also of tho considerable discredit and monetary loss occasioned by the necessarily imperfect dressing of such carcases, WE hereby give notice on behalf of The Canterbury Frozen , Meat Company, Limited, and the Christchurch Meat Company. Limited, that any such sheep will be drafted at the works and rejected. The Canterbury Frozen. Meat Co.. Ltd. The Dairy Produce Export Co..
