SUPPLY OF STEAMERS.
ALLOTMENT TO THE DOMINION. ■WELLINGTON, March 10,' ' A cablegram received by Lhe Prime Minister to-day stilted that the Tonnage Committee'bad arranged,to allot eight refrigerating steamers to New "Zealand tor | loading during May. Eight steamers would be available during' April also. The average capacity oi these vessels > would be' aboiit 100,000 carcases. ' ' Freezing works authorities throughout the Dominion had informed, tho Imperial Supply Branch, in response to inquiry on tho point, that they expect there will be 464,000 quarters of beef available for the purposes, of the j ' Imperial Government during the next three months.
