Tho Justices stated that they had .r O n" into the matter very carefully, ond had come to the conclusion that tJ,ev could not grant bail in the ordinary sense. They were willing, however +o -illow tho accused a certain amount O F ■freedom in her own recognisance wovided that she should be committed to the < har^e. of the Salvation Army on condition that upon the slightest comnHint as to her conduct she would be returned to Addington Gaol. • The Salvation Army officials ga^e as- ■• s.n-ances that'while in their charge aol sod would never he a one. Accused was then committed to the custody of the Salvation Army.
