BERLIN'S FIRST MEATLESS DAY

Berlin experienced it's first day without mpat. All butchers' shops were closed,' and meat dishes were absent from restaurant menus. Some of the shopping centres were impassable, and there was rioting owing to the poorer people relenting other people buying. Panic prices prevailed.

A Berlin wireless message denies the reports of the scarcity of food in Germany. Crops arc abundant, especially potatoes.
