Mr Murray, commenting on the West Australian 1 Horse-racing Committee's report, said the introduction of the- t'otalisator in Victoria was desirable from a revenue viewpoint, fmt it could not. be introduced with the Government taking all tho profits. The dubs would have to run the totalisator, but how to divide the profits was. a problem. There was no chance, of the Bill passing this session. Though a majority of members favoured the lotnlisntor, they were far from agreeing on the. details of tho Hill.
