IDLE NURSES IN LONDON.
"SOMEONE HAS BLUNDERED." (Received October 20, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 19. Mr Tennant, in the House of Commons, stated that approximately, there were 25,000 British prisoners in Germany in September. Fifty Australian nurses, who had done most valuable work in Egypt during the early rushes of wounded men, are idle in England. At one stage, e;i<?h nurse in Egypt tended 700 wounded men. When the superior officers wore retailed to .Australia/ the nurses were invited to volunteer to come to Engliind and establish the No. 10 Australian Hospital. They have been six weeks at an hotel in London, awaiting,'instructions, but No. 10 hospital is still non-existent. The nurses are sorry for their labours, and fear they may be drafted to English hospitals. ' :
