RED GROSS FUND.
CONFERENCE CONVENED BY GOVERNOR. To the People of New Zealand, — " As I have received many inquiries regarding Red Cross matters, I think it would be well to hold a meeting with the object of co-ordinating effort and preventing overlapping. "I propose, therefore, to invite two representatives from each of the four centres of the Order of St. John, and one each of the sub-centres, while at the same time I should be very glad if other societies working for the samo object would also sencf one representative. Tho whole position could then be discussed, and it is hoped that, as the outcome of the meeting, a more satisfactory working basis will be arrived at. "It is proposed to hold the mooting at Government House, Wellington, on Wednesday, November 10, at 10.15 a.m., and it is particularly requested that all societies desiring to be represented will communicate with the aide-de-camp in waiting, stating the name of the society, and also that of its representatives, so that some estimate can be formed as to the probable size of the meeting. "LIVERPOOL, " Governor." Government House, Wellington, October 18, 1915.
