BULGARIANS ATTACKING KUMANOVO.
LONDON, October 18. The. Bulgarians are striking at Kumanovo, which the Allies are seek- i ing to reach and fortify before the Bulgarians are able to separate the Serbians from the Allies. Athens messages state that 40,(Xk Bulgarians are attacking Valnndovp. and[the Loudovo Bridge. ■'Fighting continued until mid-day on Sunday without the Bulgarians securing any decisive result. | 'Renter's correspondent fit .Athens soys it is unofficially stated that the Serbians and the Allies at Valandovo repulsed the Bulgarians, who are retreating to Struimiitza. The Bulgarians are disappointed at the smallness of the German forces. Diplomatic circles state that 'Marshal Mackcnson has demanded reinforcements to enablo him to continue the offensive on the whole front.. He admits that his advance is slow,,and at the cost of great effort.
