THE KIDMAN CASE.
MAJOR O'DONNELL'S EVIDENCE. (Received October-19, 9.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 19. Giving evidence- on his own behalf, in tho Kidman case, Major O'Donnell said that at ono time a general rising of Germans in the concentration camp at Liverpool was feared, and extraordinary precautions were taken. Double guards tvero mounted and important points of the road wore patrolled by armed officers in motor-cars. He was ordered, one night, to take 500 rijlcs and a quantity of ammunition on motor lorries to Liverpool in case of a rising. Afcjbhat time the many smai tenderers offering to supply tho concentration camp resembled an organised attempt to gain admission by means of tradesmen's carts.
