"SAFETY OF RAILWAY ASSURED. (Received October 19, 9.15 a.m.) ATHENS, October 18. Official.—Advices from Salonika'state that tho Allies have also occupied-vari-ous posts dominating tho railway. Protection of the latter is assured. AMSTERDAM, October 18. Austro-German communiques state that the Serbian positions at Avaln have been stormed and that the whole of the hilly district southward of Belgrade is in Austro-German hands.
