There was a moderate attendance at the weekly stock sale held at the Ashburton yards to-day, and the entry of. both fats arid stores showed a slight decrease on the previous week's yarding at Tinwald. The yarding of fat sheep totalled 151, and included 124 fat owes, 11 -fat wethers, 15 fat hoggets, find one lamb. The yarding last week totalled 174, including 126 ewes, one wether, and 44 hoggets'. The quality was very good, and some good butchers' ewes were yarded. Competition among butchers was very keen, and with one. exception every line submitted rciun.il 1.-.jyers at auction. It realised £9 7s 6d. Sales were: — Sheep. Fat Pens. —Ewes: Six croas-brede at 275, 12 halibreds at 28s 3d, 3 do. at 17s 9d. 46 do. at 25s 3d, 3 crossbreds at I 30b, 15 do. at 27s 9d, 16 dp. at 23s 3d, 11 do. at 28s .6d, 12 three-quarterbreds at 245. Wethers: Eight halfbreds.at 38s. Hoggets: Two at 20s'-3d, 13' at 25s 3d. One lamb at 28s. Store Pens. —One Down ram at 10s, 45 half and three-quartorbred ewer; !
