THE WEATHER.
After the chilly wind which blew all day yesterday there was a sharp frost last night, 7A degrees being registered at the- Domain weather station. This did a great deal of damage, to vegetable gardens and fruit trees, and many a gardener woke to.find his potatoes, tomatoes, beans, etc., blackened and ruined. The weather was fine this •morning, but it clouded over, and the sky looked threatening this afternoon. About 2 o'clock a few drops of rain foil. The Dominion Meteorologist's forecast to-day was as follows:—The-indi-cations aro for southerly winds, strong to galo, prevailing. Rain probable, and snow on high country. The weather will probably be very cold. Barometer rising soon.
