FATE OF AUSTRALIAN AVIATORS.
(Received October 16, 8.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, October 16. Official details published of the deaths of Lieutenants G. P. Merz and Burn show that the officers wore taking part in an expedition to establish a depot at Asasullabig and failed to return. Their aeroplane was .discovered broken, and political officers later discovered that the murders had been committed by travelling Bedouins, three of whom wore wounded and one killed by the aviators. One man concerned in the murder is awaiting trial, and large rewards have been offered lor the apprehension of tho others. The aviators' bodies have not been discovered.
