OBSTINATE FIGHTING.
NO CHANGE IN NORTH OR SOUTH. I PETROGRAD, October 15. j A communique says:— "There was obstinate fighting on tho various fronts." The High Commissioner reports:— ■ ' LONDON, October 15. ' At Jacobstadt there was intense artillery fire. There was obstinate fighting south of Schlossberg and in the neighbourhood of Garbunqwka. On the Pripet front-the Rxissians occupied the village of Khrapin.! ' In Galicia the enemy assumed an unsuccessful offensive. There were violent fights west of Trembovla-.
